I find it hard to keep up with a study sometimes, usually do to my tendency to procrastinate the daily devotionals that are included. This study has definitely given me a really big reminder that in all things I do, I should always do it for Him.
This leads me to my next thought...being posed with the question "Who/Where is your Ninevah?" I can't deny that I haven't thought about talking to one of those many parents that come up to me during the school year. Then that leads me to the next thought...can I really do this? Can I really change the perception of a person who's grown up believing in their god or gods, into fully believing/trusting in the one true God?
If I could only get the opportunity to plant at least one seed this year. He'll speak through me. I just need the courage to do so.
Praying for courage.

Second Chances
I've recently started attending a women's summer bible study on Jonah, a man with many interruptions in his life...or what Priscilla Shirer likes to call it, Divine Interruption.
The study consists of a daily quiet times to reflect on what was learned during the video session.
I wasn't in one of my best moods during my quiet time, and of course God would want to intervene and teach me a lesson on exactly what I was peeved about.
This week, we've been focusing on second chances, it's evident that God is full of second chances...do we follow in His footsteps?
I wasn't up for giving second chances 30 minutes ago...I've changed my mind.
Thanks God. You always find a way to intervene. :)

love those kids...
after going through pages and pages of pictures for a couple of hours, i've decided to attempt to capture my future children's cuteness and create art just like this person did. i can't guarantee that my kids will be as cute as these 2 little girls are...but i'm sure they'll come close :)
ah what a dream! :)

a new idea...
I had this thought...
I realize that I've traveled quite a bit since I left home...
Miami, FL
Alexandria, VA
Houston, TX
Interesting idea...I think I just might borrow it.
茶葉蛋
As I was stumbling around, I came across a recipe website with one of my most favorite (probably unhealthy) snack of all time! Tea Eggs! I vaguely recall eating 6 eggs in one sitting during a family car trip to a church event. This would probably explain why I probably wasn't the skinniest little asian girl in town. I foresee myself making tea eggs sometime this week...or next week...or never.
For those tea lovers out there, and for my own reference so I don't have to hunt for the recipe online...I'll post it here so I can share the joys of this delightful sodium filled snack :)
Ingredients:
Eggs
2 bags of black tea
4 star anise
1/4 cup soy sauce
Directions:
1. Place eggs into a pot and fill it with water until just covered.
2. Bring water up to a boil, and then simmer for about 2 minutes.
3. Remove eggs, crack eggs with the edge of a knife or a fork.
4. Place eggs back into the pot, add tea bags, star anise, and soy sauce.
5. Simmer for 2-3 hours (or simmer for 1 hour, and soak overnight in refrigerator).
